Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Leafy ("the app") handles information when you use it. Leafy is developed by an independent developer based in Lithuania.
1. Information you provide
Leafy allows you to manage information about your plants, including plant names, nicknames, and photos you choose to add. Plant information, photos, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Leafy does not upload your plant information or photos to our servers.
The app accesses your camera or photo library only when you choose to take or select a plant image. It does not scan your entire photo library. Selected images may be processed or compressed before being saved locally.
2. Device and usage information
Leafy uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect app usage information, such as interaction events and screen views, to help us understand how the app is used and improve its functionality. Depending on your device and configuration, this information may include device and app details, operating system information, and technical identifiers.
Leafy uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to help identify errors and improve app stability. This may include crash details, stack traces, app and operating system versions, device information, and technical identifiers.
Analytics and crash reporting are enabled by default. You can disable them separately in the app's Settings. Disabling these features stops future collection through the corresponding feature, subject to the app's implementation. Information already transmitted may remain subject to the applicable service retention policies.
Leafy also uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob and its advertising partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, app interactions, and advertising delivery or performance data to provide, measure, and improve advertisements. Depending on your location, consent choices, and the advertising configuration, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

3. Accounts, advertising, and tracking
Leafy does not require users to create an account or sign in. The app uses Google AdMob, an advertising service, to display ads and support the app. Depending on your location and advertising settings, Google and its advertising partners may use device identifiers and related information to deliver and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.
We do not sell personal information. Advertising-related data processing is governed by Google's applicable privacy terms and the advertising settings and consent choices available to you.
4. How information is stored and shared
Plant information, photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Leafy does not upload this content to its own servers.
When enabled, analytics events and crash diagnostics may be transmitted to Google Firebase. When ads are displayed, Google AdMob and its applicable partners may process information needed to deliver, measure, and prevent abuse of advertisements. These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information.
5. Data retention and deletion
Locally stored plant information, photos, and preferences remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to your device's storage and backup settings.
Analytics and crash diagnostics already transmitted to Google Firebase are retained according to the applicable service settings and provider retention policies. Disabling analytics or crash reporting stops future collection through the corresponding feature but does not automatically delete previously collected data.
6. International data transfers
Google Firebase may process analytics and crash diagnostic information on servers located outside Lithuania or the European Economic Area. Where required by applicable data protection law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can disable analytics and crash reporting in the app's Settings. Advertising preferences and consent choices may also be available through the app or your device's settings, depending on your location and configuration. 8. Children's privacy
Leafy is not specifically directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us.
9. Security
Plant information and photos are stored locally on your device, and their security depends in part on your device's security and settings. We rely on the security features provided by Google Firebase for information processed through its services. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
10. Premium features and in-app purchases
Leafy offers optional Premium features through in-app purchases. Premium removes advertisements and provides access to additional app features. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device.
We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. Apple or Google processes your payment under its own terms and privacy policy. Depending on the purchase implementation, the app may process purchase or entitlement information to verify your Premium access and restore eligible purchases.

11. Policy updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to Leafy, its data practices, or applicable legal requirements. The latest version and its effective date will be published on this page.
